new charlotte, named after its genius planner, charlie cojab, was designed based on the following principles:

cars are the worst method of transportation ever invented. it is too early to create a completely carless city today, but new charlotte will restrict cars in most of its streets. it will rely mostly on public transportation while still having roads for any type of emergency. the city will be as organized as manhattan today with an improvement on its sidewalk ballet. all blocks will be mixed use, smaller and with more open space to bring people to the streets. experiencing central park will not remain an experience only for the rich people who can afford to live near it—with the reduction in size, a northern park and a southern park will be created so more people can enjoy an open space like it. overall open space will also be improved by having small plazas in the middle of every block in the city.
